The best things on earth are made with wheat (wheat flour): bread, cakes, snacks, pizza, cookies, beer. It is a key grain in human nutrition. And that is not all. Wheat is also used in the manufacturing of glues, cosmetics, alcohol, medicines and animal feed. It is one of the most produced grains in the world.
Currently, Brazil still needs to import wheat, as its production is lower than the demand, which is mostly (87%) concentrated in the South. Sementec sells irrigated BRS 264 wheat, developed by Embrapa Trigo and adapted to the Cerrado climate. According to Embrapa, BRS 264 grains have excellent industrial quality, with higher yields than those in the South region. Our harvest takes place in the Brazilian and Argentine off-season, the main supplier of wheat to the country.
